Brooke is an educator by day and blogger by night.
If you’re into credentials, in recent past lives, she’s been
a high school English teacher, a corporate trainer, and a residence hall
director. She holds a B.A. in English
and a M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration with a concentration in Student
Affairs. (What’s student affairs, you
ask? You know those folks that did
everything on your college campus that happened outside of the classroom? Those people that ran your Multicultural
Center, ran your residence hall, provided leadership development programs, and sometimes
brought a concert or play or film series to campus? Those are student affairs professionals. They probably all have graduate degrees that
taught them how to responsibly handle the state funds they juggle, how to help
ease you through any identity crisis college might have brought on, and manage
a lot of other miscellaneous things.)
Brooke is also writing a novel. She’s struggling around page seventy. If you have any tips for fighting the beast
that is the middle of a manuscript, please let her know. She’d like to be the Donna Tartt for the millennial
next door. Brooke also dabbles in other
adventures in writing, like poetry slams and submissions to literary
magazines. You can find her writing here
